I love me some miso ramen! Also I love me some butter and corn inside my ramen! So this was my first choice in the noodle alley. Walked right in and got seated right away. I ordered the miso butter corn ramen $18 and my wife ordered the shio ramen, we also ordered some side like goyza $7 and potato croquette I think it was like $8 or $9? Honestly the ramen was good but a little pricey and the croquette was okay just like the gyoza. I can’t really expect japan quality but I would go back again. Also service was really good they kept on filling my water and asking if everything was good.
I am glad we got to try Baikokhen Ramen today! There was a line for a bit, but luckily we didn't have to wait super long for a party size of 2. I am not a huge fan of ramen unless it is done well. The Hokkaido Ramen here is simple & tasty without being overly salty or heavy. The prices are fair. I do wish they offered thicker or better quality chopsticks to go along with the meal but it's not a huge deal. We shared the Hokkaido croquette & zangi (chicken) which is were served nice & hot. I see why they were Michelin rated at one point. Very decent meal! Give it a try, I would definitely revisit.
Lots of ramen restaurants to choose from in Waikiki and we decided to try Baikokhen Ramen. Didn’t disappoint. The broth was on point, noodles not too thick or too thin and exactly what a good bowl of ramen should be. Char siu had very good flavour with decent fat to meat ratio. Definitely a goto place for ramen.
